Liisa Pentti: Jeux – re-imagined & Rea-Liina Brunou: Pedestrian Ballet

“I wanted it to be far from all that social difficulty, so that you can be alone and in any place where you do not need to encounter other people and at any time.”

Both Liisa Pentti’s Jeux – re-imagined and Rea-Liina Brunou’s Pedestrian Ballet premiered at Kutomo in Turku in October-November of 2016. Esitysradio saw Jeux at Ateneum in Helsinki and Pedestrian Ballet at Kutomo and at Zodiak Z-free in Helsinki. The pieces were connected by their use of history of dance; Jeux was a re-imagined version of Vaslav Nijinskys ballet from 2013, Pedestrian Ballet refered to Marie Taglioni, a 19th century baleet dancer.
